Integrity Says:
The following products, services, and values are an integral part of his life. What defines your life and why?
Laughter. I have to agree with the cliché; I think laughter truly is one of the best medicines to combat the daily forces that are capable of breaking you down. Take some time to find the humor in everyday situations.
You have to love the narrow strip of land that is within minutes of New York City, the beach, and the country side. Highways, malls, restaurants, and 7-11s (that sell alcohol!) are all in arm's reach. I'm proud to call Long Island my home.
Located in Freeport, Long Island, The Imperial Diner is my current home away from home for quiet time with my newspaper, hamburger deluxe, long island iced tea, and general decompression after a long day's work. As "Cheers" so eloquently put, "Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name" Good food, grog, and people, amen.
Read the news, be aware of what's going on around you. It is vital to remain connected with the rest of the world.
Take all media seriously, but absorb it objectively. From reality television to newspapers and magazines to movies like "Boyz In The Hood", media can offer a valuable insight into human nature, the current state of civilization, and what must be addressed to make the world a better place.
Family. I believe the number one factor that causes human beings to inflict harm on themselves and others is desperation and hopelessness due to the lack of a supportive and loving family. "It takes a village", "They are the future...", - it's the truth.
Faith. We can face tomorrow with either fear or excitement. Neither feeling will have bearing on the outcome, but one may help us sleep better at night.
Who are born genuinely good and remain that way? Animals. We should take a page from their book.
Why does a child gravitate to stuffed animals? Why do I gravitate to stuffed animals? I guess they're one of the last remaining symbols of innocence and unconditional love in the world, much like real animals.
I wear shorts! During the summer, the winter, in snow, and in rain, I embrace the easy in/easy out, belt-less elastic waste band and the freedom to move my legs in any direction I want. Just get in and go!!!
Call me crazy, but I love the convenience (and taste) of microwaveable meat and low-fat cheese piled into a cheese-laden sack and ready for my enjoyment in a mere one minute and 40 seconds, plus the applicable cool time, of course.
Hamburgers! Yes, you can call me a hypocrite and I wouldn't blame you. How can I be an advocate for the love of animals while I eat them? I don't think I have an answer that is justified. I do love animals, however, and have once lived as a vegetarian, but ultimately cannot deny the fact that my taste buds are receptive to a limited number of foods, and one of my favorite foods is a hamburger.
I once always walked past the alcoholic energy drink in favor of more common adult beverages such as Smirnoff Ice.
It was only after I discovered the efficiency and power of Sparks combined with Vodka, that I embraced my now trademark drink.
Uncanny, ironic? Something more? Whatever the case, I enjoy a long island iced tea as much as I do Long Island. Responsibly, of course.
These things make me happy! What makes you happy? What do you think can make the world a better place? |
