The Man, The Mission.
		The stage name Integrity is derived from a passion for the positive advancement of electronic dance music culture. Providing safe and legal events along with grass-root distribution of free music for almost a decade, Brian Gibbs, the man behind the Integrity personality, has long been both an active participant and advocate of the New York City metropolitan area rave scene. Recently, after becoming increasingly aware of conflict and desperation around the globe, Brian has expanded his advocacy to include the world scene as well. Brian believes that music is a great equalizer in a world that is so often plagued by division. By earning recognition and a reputable voice through the universal language of music, Brian hopes to be a positive influence to all of planet Earth and its inhabitants through his message of tolerance and equality for all people. Hey! I'm Brian, that DJ and Producer behind "Integrity", based on Long Island, New York, but active throughout the east coast of the United States and Canada. When I'm not fighting the good fight to bring integrity back to mankind, I'm a down to earth, vodka-drinking, hamburger-eatin', and stuffed animal-cuddling, ambitious soul who merely wants to rave til' the grave and experience all the world has to offer. Disclaimer: After listening to my music and learning about some of my vices, some of you just may think I'm one big fucked-up hypocrite who doesn't know one damn thing about life or saving the world. After all, how could someone who drinks vodka and creates dark music possibly care about peace on earth and good will towards man? Well, if that is what you're wondering, I must encourage you to read on. I believe misunderstanding and assumption can often be found to be the root causes of the majority of past and current, global and personal conflicts. It seems that we rarely take time to dig beneath face value to find the origin of each other's beliefs and behaviors. How can we possibly begin to respect one another if we don't learn to know one another? So what the hell am I getting at, you ask? My point is that there's much more to both me and your fellow human beings than meets the eye. I encourage you to take time to learn about me and the people around you. Break the vicious cycle of reaction and retaliation. Ok, class. With my mission statement out of the way, let me break my point down a little bit more: Even if you hate my music, think I'm a weirdo, and have no idea what I'm talking about, before you leave the website, I encourage you to take the following virtue with you: -Don't ever give up even in the face of adversity and don't let others give up in the face of adversity, either- You can obtain all of your goals through dedication and discipline, believe it. Once you obtain those goals, however, it is your responsibility to help your fellow human being obtain their dreams as well. Lead by positive example and pay it forward. The rest will fall into place. And that, my friends, is how we make the world a better place. Listen.Learn.Love. .and never lose your integrity. Soon, flowers will begin to sprout, birds will sing, and the hills will become alive with the sound of music and Integrity... Though I have to admit, I’m no Mary Poppins. Anyways, I’ve always believed that the coming of a new season brings with it a new opportunity to wipe the slate clean and welcome in new hope and energy for the future months ahead. Even in times of strife and uncertainty, it’s comforting to remember that the one constant we can always rely on is change- and that alone, should give us the strength to keep moving forward, even in the face of adversity. As Annie used to sing, “tomorrow’s only a day away”, right? Ok, enough with the musicals already. I guess I’m speaking so philosophically because this release of both my first original music and remodeled website has reminded me of the long road I’ve traveled to get here. I feel I’ve run the gamut of emotions through what I consider to have been a defining period in my life. Out of that period, I move forward with greater insight into both myself and the world around me. I’ve learned that I am a flawed, but good intentioned individual. I’ve learned that it’s my responsibility to become cognizant of the effects my actions have on other people. I’ve also learned that pain and failure we face can be met in one of two ways: With surrender and self-loathing or action and a renewed conviction for success. Neither mindset will have bearing on what the future holds, but one perspective might help me sleep better at night than the other. My lessons are reflected in my via new content such as “Integrity Says”, which outlines what makes me happy, what aids me in a better understanding of the inner workings of the world, and is geared to encourage you to do the same. Also new is “Speak With Integrity”, a guestbook on the surface, but with your participation, a think tank that is open to cover any and all topics. Rounding out the new content are consulting services designed to encourage growth of local raves scenes around the country through participation ranging from grass-root promotion to event hosting. In the music department, you are introduced to my first original track, “Tortured Soul”, an aggressive fusion of hard electronic dance music with inspiration from Hard Trance, Acid, Hard Techno, and Psy Trance, available on DPIM Recordings 002 this spring. Also available are archived mix sets featuring the sounds of Acid Techno, Hard Techno, NRG, and Hard Trance. Visually speaking, you will find an all new Integrity logo and a new website format.
